Save Time and Money on Your Kitesurfing Course

This module is designed to be taken before you go on a kitesurfing course. It will arm you with all the information you need to fly through your course and save you days (and hundreds) on you kitesurfing course as you'll arrive with a huge head start over other students.

The first lessons in this module cover all the theory you will need to know for flying your kite. We cover all the bits you'll need to know to fly your trainer safely and to get the most of the time you do spend on the kite. For the over achievers amongst you (or the geeks...I include myself in this esteemed bracket, geek that is not over-achiever!) we also include a bit of stuff you don't really need to know but may be interested to learn!

To mark this module as completed we don't expect you to necessarily read all the theory lessons. The ones I would consider required reading are all the lessons on the wind, ie. any lesson with "Wind" in the title! And the lesson on hand signals... if only to see the beautiful (and slightly goofy) photo's of me!! The practical lessons are of course compulsory.

On every lesson there is a tick box on the right hand side where you can mark this module as complete, this will mark all the theory classes here as completed so please only tick this when you've at a minimum read the lessons I've just mentioned.

In the final lessons of the module we'll head out and get your kite in the air. Power kites are called power kites for a reason (well actually we call them trainer kites though out this module, but I though for the sake of making the point I'd change now!) so have a little respect for them and make sure you pay attention to the bits on safety.

Over the course of the practical lessons we'll be giving you some simple exercises to get your kite safely into the air, and back down again. We're also going to tell you what to do with it whilst it's flying. The idea is that by the end of these lessons you should be completely comfortable flying your trainer/power kite and completing these basic maneuvers.

Please do not move onto the next section until you are happy with the exercises here. I would also recommend completing the exercises in different conditions just to make sure you're completely comfortable with it before you move on.
