The aim of the site is to guide you from being an absolute novice in the world of kitesurfing to being at a stage where you are flying kites with ease armed with a tonne of useful and highly applicable knowledge and practical skills. Whether you're looking to get into kitesurfing, landboarding, snowkiting or buggying, following the lessons in the kite school will give you a solid knowledge of flying kites and introduce you to your chosen sport in a safe and inexpensive way.

We aim to teach you how to fly a kite and so massively reduce your learning costs and give you an idea of whether you'll need kite lessons with a dedicated kite school. We hope that if you do decide that kitesurfing is for you you can go to a kite school and pay a fraction of the price for lessons that most people pay as you'll need only a day or two's instruction to be off riding, obsessing about the wind and trying to finish work early to get to the beach!

In any kiting sport 90% of the skill comes from being able to fly the kite. The more automatic you can make this skill the better and the quicker you'll progress when trying more advanced stuff...such as riding, jumping etc. These next lessons in the kite school focus on the theoretical knowledge and practical skills that you will need to become an expert in flying kites.

So where do you start?

The lessons are laid out in the order we think they should be completed, so simply start at the beginning and work your way down the pages in the menu until you have completed all the lessons under that section, then move onto the next. Please do not skip ahead. Flying kites can be a dangerous past time and the lessons are laid out in such a way that by the time you come to actually hoist a kite you have all the theoretical knowledge you need to keep yourself safe.
